A Special Supernova Session
canadian national team coach, joey lombardi, pays us a visit
It was a special Sunday evening practice. Every player showed up early. Not the club’s required 15 minutes early, but nearly a full hour early. With shirts tucked in, boots laced up and matching blue MWrap head bands, the girls warmed up, full of anticipation and excitement.
Parents were there too, Tims’ in hand, chairs unfolded, ready for the excitement of weeks of anticipation for this special practice to finally kick off.
Coach Tony had put in a call to his friend and colleague to host a special session for Supernova FC.
Coach Lombardi put the girls through some quick technical drills followed by an interesting tactical drill that kept everyone on their toes. The U10 and U11 teams gave it their all to impress the celebrity gaffer who stopped play when necessary to impart his wisdom.
Before hearing his closing remarks, the girls took a team picture and presented Coach Lombardi with a Supernova Stadium Hoodie and some treats as a token of their massive appreciation.
